Why this is the ideal home
Een huis is niet zomaar ideaal. Waar denk je bij aan een ideaal huis? Het is een vraag die niet vaak wordt gesteld – vaak zijn we al blij dat we er droog en warm bij zitten. Aan onze eerste levensbehoefte is dan voldaan. Vervolgens kijken we om ons heen en zien we dat de meesten van ons het net zo doen als wij: wonen in steen, beton en staal is iets dat zo gewoon lijkt als de zwaartekracht of dat één en één twee is. We nemen aan dat dit is hoe het is, we leven ons leven en we stellen ons geen vragen meer.
Laten we het nu anders doen dan de meeste mensen, door toch die vraag te stellen en na te denken over het ideale huis. Dan blijkt al al snel dat er heel wat bij komt kijken voordat een huis ideaal kan worden genoemd. Zo veel eigenlijk, dat het lijkt op een vruchteloze gedachtenoefening. Vision
The Netherlands needs a lot of housing for many people. It is possible to ideally meet their basic needs by building houses created on the basis of old knowledge and new science. This can be done with a building material that simply grows out of the ground every day on the basis of solar energy: wood, which is then assembled into solid walls, floors and roofs that together form the ideal house. Shortening construction time
Bijvoorbeeld in Londen, met het Dalson Works-project, werd de bouwtijd met negen maanden verkort. En daar bleef het niet bij, want in plaats van de 700 volle vrachtwagens die nodig waren geweest bij traditionele betonbouw, waren er nu slechts 98 vrachtwagenladigen nodig.
